Since I added an article some time ago, on Heaven, I though it would be appropriate to add a study on “Hell”. No this is certainly not a popular topic, even among believers. No one wants to see anyone end up in this place, but sad to say, in the end some will choose not to be with their Creator (even though He is not far from any one of us.)
One of the most famous verses in the Bible is John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.” (NKJV)
The fact is, God does not want any to perish and “go to hell”. He came through time and space, into this world, became a person like one of us, suffered, died, and rose again to take the punishment for all of our sins. He wants ALL of His creatures to be in Heaven with Him. All He asks is that we believe in Jesus Christ the Lord, and trust Him for our eternal salvation.
Once you do, God will bless you with His Spirit, and begin making you a new creation from the inside out. When you pass from this earth, that very second you will be with Him in Heaven. If you have never heard the Gospel (the “good news” of Jesus), you are still accountable for the light that you have been given. And you – like all of us – will be judged accordingly. God is rich in mercy, not willing that any perish – but He is also perfect, holy, and just.
Open your mind and heart to Him, and believe in Jesus Christ the Savior, and receive Him as Lord. And you will be saved.
