In this modern day and age, many people are looking for something to satisfy the hunger deep within them. In the developed world, we are surrounded by so many conveniences – fancy homes, stylish cars. People visit shopping centers or purchase online to clothe themselves in new fashions to keep up with their neighbors. Materialism – the worship of things and possessions – seems to be the religion of the day. In the developed world, when we look up, we can barely make out the stars because light pollution clouds the night sky.

What many people don’t realize is that we were created and designed as three-part beings – body, soul, and spirit. And since the Fall, it seems the world has been turned upside down for most people. They put a priority on their body first, spending hours in gyms and exercising. Then, assuming there is any energy left, they turn their attention to reading or soulful entertainment. Their spirit usually gets no attention at all. Yet this is where the hunger resides – in one’s spirit. Nevertheless, people try to fill that spiritual “hole” with things that cannot satisfy: material possessions, soulish accomplishments, and religious practice cannot satisfy spiritual hunger. What the spirit is crying out for is a relationship with its Creator. It’s how we were designed.

We will delve into what makes Christianity different from all other religions. It all comes down to Jesus. Christianity, at its core, is not a “religion” but a relationship. A relationship with God through Jesus Christ. While all other religions ask you to do something to reach up to God and hope for acceptance, Christianity tells the story of how God reached down in the person of Jesus to save all of humanity. We will show how Jesus was and is unlike any other “holy person” throughout history. How only Jesus qualifies as the promised Savior and Redeemer of mankind. We will then compare and contrast Christianity with other major religions so you’ll understand the differences. We will then cover how the Christian faith has transformed society through the ages, up until the present time.
