Life is a Gift – Don’t Waste It!

Don’t wait to experience life, the beauty of Gods creation, and His blessings on you.

Seek to be close to the Lord, to be humble, and mindful to love and appreciate one another (John 13:34) – your spouse if you are so blessed, family and friends. Hide His Word in your heart, so you are kept from sinning. For your life may not be long upon this earth.

I lost two long time friends last week to cancer. One worked with me in tech support at FileNet for 11 years. The other I knew as part of my extended family and a partner in my 18 years in business. Both were stricken with cancer, the a month later suddenly taken. On the same day as a matter of fact.

Plan for your future, but live every day to the fullest as a gift. Be thankful for every breathe, every hour, and ever day the Lord bestows upon you.

Each day is precious.

Use your time wisely, to fulfill the purpose for your life. If you are a believer, know that you are God’s “handiwork”, and that He has laid out good works for you in advance for you to take advantage of these. (Ephesians 2:10). So look for these, and do those good works – for you are His instrument – His eyes, hands and feet.

Be generous whenever you have the opportunity. When asked to bear a burden for one mile, carry it for two (Matthew 5:41).

Be helpful and kind to every one of His creatures. Share God’s love with everyone you can, for He does not want any of His creatures to perish, but all to be born again of the Spirit, and live eternally with Him and all His children in His everlasting kingdom (John 3:15).
