Revival Breaking Out on Campuses, Across Country!

God’s Spirit is Moving – on University Campuses initially, and now in High Schools, and Churches Across the Country

Update March 3, 2023 –

Revival Now Spreading Across America!

The revival that broke out at Asbury university February 8th, and drew thousands to that campus over a period of weeks, has spread to other campuses, churches, and now high schools and even secular campuses and schools. Why? Because people – especially young people – are sick and tired of all the lies and propaganda being pushed by the main stream media, their schools, and the culture that surrounds them. They need and want HOPE.

And so when the traditional “service” ends, young people are sticking around. For hours, and sometimes days. They are calling out to God, waiting on the Lord to answer. And He is. These revivals have been flooded with God’s Spirit, and God is hearing their cries, filling people with His presence, and healing people spiritually, healing minds, and bodies.

No leaders are in charge, no programs, no scripts. Just a move of God’s Holy Spirit. Its truly and example of God’s declaration when He says:

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9

Revival Breaks Out at Victory Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma

From 2 News Oklahoma: Feb 27th, 2023 – TULSA, Okla. — As the eyes of the world were trained on a small, Christian university in Kentucky experiencing revival people around the nation began to hunger for God to move here. “This last week when we saw it on the news and we started following it on social media, I started praying with my wife like Lord, if you can do it there, do it here.” Paul Daugherty, Victory Church Pastor said.

Last weekend Daugherty says he had a sermon prepared — but felt like God told him to scratch his plans and lean into what He was doing. “I was wrestling with it because I was like I don’t want to be a copy. I don’t want people to go, oh, they are just copying Asbury,” Daugherty said. “They’re just trying to do what another church did.” “The last thing I want to do is to try and reproduce something that’s not genuine.”

He says the spirit of God began to move Saturday, Feb. 18. ‘People are weeping, and they are at the altar and I’m seeing businessmen and women that I have never seen come down to the front,” Daugherty said. Saturday night’s service turned into 3 hours, but he says God wasn’t done with his people yet — Sunday was on its way.

The people from the 9 a.m., many of them stayed and the 11 a.m. came in and so it was packed. People just were hungry,” said Daugherty. Daugherty says this was fueling people and giving them something they had been been thirsting for. “It went for 3.5 days past Sunday, so it ended Wednesday night at about 9 pm.

According to God TV: Paul shared that the gathering was filled with a “beautiful outpouring of God’s presence and power in each service.” There was “healing, freedom, repentance, and restoration.” He added, “[God] shows up where people seek Him genuinely and desire to surrender their hearts to Jesus.” Photo above from God TV.

Revival Spreads to Texas A&M, Indiana Wesleyan and LSU: ‘It’s Not Religion. It’s Just Meeting JESUS’

Feb 24th – CBN News: There’s still plenty of proof that God is on the move, like outdoor prayer gatherings and baptisms at more colleges, even secular ones that don’t have regular chapel times.

Michael Fehlauer, the lead pastor of the New Life Church in Corpus Christi, Texas, posted videos to social media that showed baptisms being performed in a public fountain at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Healings are also being reported. One report from Texas A&M in College Station revealed that an A&M student who couldn’t previously walk unaided, walked 20 steps after Aggies students prayed over him.

“2nd night! Jesus is JUST GETTING STARTED,” Grant Bynum wrote. “This is REAL. Worship, repentance, prayers, no leaders. Physical healing. Baptism. Crowds bigger than last night. It’s not religion. It’s just meeting JESUS. Jesus! Had to leave a 1 am, but it was still going on! GO TO: Aggie Park 8:30 every night!”

Revival on the Campus of Indiana Wesleyan University

March 2nd, CBN News – Jim Lo, a professor in the School of Theology and Ministry at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) in Maron, Indiana, wrote in a Facebook post that “God is doing a work at IWU” as well.

“I’ve been at IWU since 3am. As I sit in the chapel-auditorium, involved in reflective prayer, the words of Robert Coleman comes to mind. ‘Anytime you see a revival, you can be sure it started with prayer’,” Lo wrote. “God is doing a work at IWU. It may not have the proportions of what is happening at Asbury, but students are responding to the touch of the Spirit,” he noted.

“At 2am I received a text message from a student, sharing how she has surrendered her all to God and is feeling called to a ‘special’ type of ministry. Other students have shared how they have asked God to help them live holy lives and have taken the step of repenting,” Lo continued.

The IWU professor also listed how this move of the Holy Spirit has affected students.

“Students have confessed about how they have asked God to help them release anger and bitterness. Students are prayer walking the campus, claiming her for God. It’s been neat how spontaneous worship in song has taken place in classes,” he explained.

“There has been an increased concern for others. Teams of students are praying over dorms, asking God to do a mighty work in the hearts of fellow residents. Tears for family and friends who are not ‘saved’ have been shed,” Lo described. “One of my classes turned into a prayer meeting.” Wow.

Revival at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, and at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

From CBN News – There have also been reports of revival at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, and at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.  Paul Worcester, national collegiate director of the North American Mission Board for the Southern Baptist Convention, tweeted a photo from a gathering on the LSU campus Thursday night.

“Students at LSU gathering tonight to pray and ask God to move on their campus! I have heard of countless other campuses hosting similar events this week. This is not just hype. This {fire} is real. God wants this generation back and they are turning back to Him heart and soul.”

A video clip posted to Facebook by the Louisiana Baptist Message shows more than 400 students gathered in the LSU chapel crying out for personal revival.

Revival Ignited First at Asbury, then Spread to Other Campuses

Feb 8, 2023 It started with a simple chapel service at Asbury University in Kentucky. Three times a week students would gather for chapel, only at this particular service, the worship never stopped. Students stuck around, singing and worshipping the Lord, hungry for the presence of the Lord.

And God didn’t disappoint. The students felt the tangible presence of the Lord descend upon them, as they sang and worshipped. More and more came. Soon the chapel was overflowing, and a line started to form outside with people waiting to get in. The worship continued, round the clock, for 11 days straight.. and as I am writing this, it is still going on.

Asbury University Revival:

As the Spirit descended upon Asbury, other universities have been swept up in the revival. As CBN News has reported, the revival at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, is now on its 10th day as thousands of people continue to make the spiritual pilgrimage to this town in hopes of encountering more of God.

Just 249 miles to the south, a revival at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee is well underway. Local news reports indicate the Lee revival has now been ongoing since Monday. There are also reports of spontaneous prayer and worship among the students at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, and at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

Lee University Revival

As the historic revival at Asbury University stretches into its eighth day, a Tennessee pastor said the Holy Spirit has also been moving in a big way on another college campus. Rob Fultz, the campus pastor at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, said revival started breaking out at his school Monday morning, with around eight students starting a prayer that ignited a movement — and it hasn’t slowed down.

Local news reports indicate the Lee revival has now gone well past the 70-hour mark.  Lee University student Kaylee Joyner told WDEF on Wednesday, “Some of my friends have been talking about how hungry people are for the Lord. And I think when you walk in you can feel that.”

Cedarville University Revival

From Thomas White: “Tonight a large number of students gathered again to pray, read Scripture, testimonies, and to worship Jesus for about two hours! We had 2 more students saved tonight. Tomorrow night we are sending our students out to other Universities to share the Gospel. Keep praying for wisdom and a genuine movement of the Lord! The last video is from students who stayed around to keep worshipping. They were still there when I left about 11 pm!”

Samford University Revival

Meanwhile, just 177 miles to the south of Cedarville University, there are reports of the Holy Spirit moving at Samford University, a private Christian school located on the outskirts of Birmingham, Alabama.

Friday morning, Kevin Blackwell, the assistant to the school’s president posted an email to the Samford student body from President Beck A. Taylor, Ph.D., about students and employees gathering for “spontaneous, organic, student-led worship” that has been happening for the last 48 hours in the school’s Reid Chapel.

“Having spent some time yesterday with those worshipping in Reid Chapel, I can testify that the Holy Spirit is at work in and among our student body,” Taylor said. “What’s happening isn’t contrived, programmed, or scripted. Nor is it performative or disingenuous. Students and others see it as an opportunity for the Samford campus to find unity in Christ, to encourage one another to faithfulness, and to extend the love and grace of Jesus to everyone.”

A New Jesus Revolution?

Many liken this to the Jesus Movement of the late 60’s / early 70’s. At that time students and youth had become disenchanted with the “establishment”. A seemingly never-ending war was being carried out in the far east, with hundreds being killed daily. No end of the war was in site, and it seemed that the powers that ran the country weren’t interested in peace anyway.

Disillusionment was rampant among the youth. Flower children they were called, and a new form of music accompanied by pot and other drugs became part of the hippie movement. But it soon became apparent to many that this was going nowhere. You couldn’t change the world unless a change started with you.

And so God showed up. The Holy Spirit descended on a few surfer hippies in Southern California, they got “turned on” to Jesus, and started to spread the love of Jesus with their brothers and sisters. They were seen carrying bibles, roaming the beaches, sharing Jesus with whoever they met. They were filled with joy, with beaming smiles on their faces.

Soon those few people became a movement, and they became know as Jesus Freaks or the Jesus Movement. A tent sprung up at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, and the movement soon grew into the thousands, spreading across the country.

What Has Prompted this Revival Across Campuses?

Students have been battered the last few years – with lockdowns due to the so-called pandemic; battered with Godless teaching; their sexual identity challenged with disinformation about gender. Instead of education, its been indoctrination.

Well, perhaps the evil one has overplayed his hand. God is not giving in, or giving up on this young generation. The Bible saw in John 1 that “the Light has shined in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”. God is descending on these campuses, and the fire of His Spirit is spreading and will not be stopped. Students are hungry for the truth and the life that is in Jesus.

They are fed up with what the world has to offer. No wonder they are reaching out, seeking God’s presence.

Could This Be the Start of the End Times Outpouring of God’s Spirit?

Many believe we are truly in the “End Times“. There is so much evidence that Bible prophecy made thousands of years ago by the prophets is now finally coming true:

  • Pestilences around the world – HIV, Covid, etc.
  • Wars and rumors of wars are in the air, with WW III actually being discussed
  • The formation of the structure for a global government
  • A great falling away from the faith is happening like never before
  • Lawlessness is abounding more and more
  • Dramatic increase in knowledge and travel
  • The development of digital commerce – buying and selling with a mark

In the Bible, the book of Joel, God speak of a great outpouring of His Spirit that will occur as the world approaches the last dasys, and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ:

28 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh;
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams,
your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids
in those days will I pour out my spirit.
Joel 2:28-29

If we are indeed approaching the end of days, this could very well be the outpouring of His Spirit mentioned in Joel. I pray that it is. Maranatha – come Lord Jesus!
