Women and Jesus in the Bible
Dr. Ben Witherington III is interviewed about the role of women in Jesus’ ministry, and he points out very clearly that Jesus radically elevated the role of women in spiritual matters (vs. what had been done in the past). Jesus has women followers, there were women who listened at His fee, along with the men disciples; and furthermore, the Bible points out that women were last at the cross and first at the tomb during the resurrection – they, not men, were the first to testify about the risen Jesus.
